Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in the Autonomous Region of Madeira was -1.3%

In March 2021, the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was -1.3%, increasing by 0.1 percentage points when compared to the previous month.

Goods recorded a rate of -0.9% and services of -1.9%.

The largest negative changes were observed in "Transports” (-5.6%) and "Clothing and footwear" (-5.0%) classes. Conversely, the highest positive changes occurred in the “Food and non-alcoholic beverages” (+2.2%) and "Restaurants and Hotels" (+1.5%) classes.

In Portugal, the value of that rate was null, the same as in the previous month.

In March 2021, the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region remained unchanged compared to the previous month and increased by 0.4% over the same month of the previous year.
