Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in Madeira was -0.7%.

The Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was -0.7%, 0.1 percentage points (p.p.) lower than the value recorded in the previous month.

The largest downward pressure on the annual average rate of change occurred in the classes of "Food and non-alcoholic beverages" (-2.7%), "Health " (-2.0%) and "Recreation and culture" (-1.7%). On the opposite side, the classes of "Communications" (+1.4%) and "Alcoholic beverages and tobacco" (+1.2%) recorded the largest positive changes.

In Portugal, the value of that rate stood at -0.3%, unchanged from the previous month.

In February 2015, the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region was 0.6% higher than the previous month (0.1% in January).
