Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in Madeira was null
The Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was null, unchanged from the previous month.
The largest downward pressure on the annual average rate of change occurred in the classes of “Clothing and footwear" (-2.1%) and "transports" (-1.7%). On the opposite side, the classes of "Communications" (+4.5%) and "Alcoholic beverages, tobacco" (+3.2%) recorded the largest positive changes.
In Portugal, the value of that rate stood at 0.7%, the same value as in the previous month.
In April 2016, the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region dropped by 0.4% from the previous month.
