De acordo com os dados provisórios disponibilizados pelo Instituto do Cinema e do Audiovisual (ICA), no 1.º trimestre de 2014 contabilizaram-se 3 853 sessões de cinema na RAM, significando um acréscimo de 89,1% face a igual período de 2013 (situação que resulta, em parte, da reabertura de algumas salas) e um decréscimo de 3,5% face ao 4.º trimestre de 2013.
O número de espetadores foi de cerca 50,1 mil, refletindo um acréscimo de 10,6% comparativamente ao 1.º trimestre de 2013 e um decréscimo de 13,0% face ao trimestre anterior.
As receitas de bilheteira atingiram os 225 mil euros, +7,7% face ao período homólogo e -12,5% face ao 4.º trimestre de 2013.
