In the first nine months of 2025
Weighted annual average daily traffic on Via Rápida increased by 5.9% compared with the same period of the previous year
According to information provided by the Regional Directorate of Roads (Direção Regional de Estradas – DRE), between January and September 2025, road traffic count rose by 5.3% on Via Rápida and by 6.6% on Vias Expresso, compared with the corresponding period of 2024. On the roads under concession, the aforementioned increases, compared to the first nine months of 2024, were driven by light vehicle traffic (+5.4% on Via Rápida; +6.5% on Vias Expresso) and heavy vehicle traffic (+4.5% on Via Rápida; +12.0% on Vias Expresso).
When narrowing the scope of analysis to the third quarter of 2025, year-on-year changes in road traffic counts were +5.8% on Via Rápida and +7.7% on Vias Expresso.
From January to September 2025, the daily average traffic amounted to, on average, 39.9 thousand vehicles on Via Rápida and 8.0 thousand vehicles on Vias Expresso, representing increases of 5.9% and 7.5%, respectively. The evolution of light vehicle traffic (+5.9% on Via Rápida; +7.4% on Vias Expresso) had a decisive impact on this change.
Due to the relatively small share of heavy vehicle traffic (2.2% and 2.1% of the total, respectively), the changes compared with 2024 (+5.0% on Via Rápida; +13.7% on Vias Expresso) had little influence on the overall development of the indicator.
It is noteworthy that, in the third quarter of 2025, the weighted annual average daily traffic grew by 5.9% on Via Rápida and by 8.4% on Vias Expresso.

Note: The weighted annual average daily traffic corresponds to the average number of vehicles that travel along the entire length of each road on a daily basis.
