DREM releases the 2021 Activity Report
The Regional Directorate of Statistics of Madeira (DREM) makes available today in the area of Organization - Planning and Management, its Activity Report 2021, which received a favourable opinion from the Statistical Council, in the plenary meeting held on 8th July.
This document is prepared following the Regional Legislative Decree No. 27/2009/M, of 24th August (as amended by Regional Legislative Decree 12/2015/M of 21 December), under the scope of the Self-Assessment of the SIADAP-RAM1 structure, following the guidelines issued by the 8th Deliberation of the Statistical Council (CSE) and the General Guidelines of Official Statistical Activity (LGAEO) 2018-2022, which embody the strategic objectives of the National Statistical System.
The present report describes the wide range of activities developed by DREM during 2021, as a Delegation of Statistics Portugal (INE) and as a Statistical Authority, having as a framework the Activity Plan 2021 and the strategic goals referred to herein and of course, the Mission and Vision of this Regional Directorate. These activities were developed as the statistical authority concerning official statistics at a regional level and, at a national level, it participates in its process, under the technical and scientific supervision of Statistics Portugal (INE).
Despite having been a year still conditioned by the COVID-19 pandemic, DREM continued the growth already observed in previous years, with more data releases, more user visits to its website and more news referring to the DREM in the media. These results are reflected in the fact that DREM has exceeded more than 40% of all the targets proposed in the 20 indicators contained in the Framework for Evaluation and Accountability (QUAR).
