Regional Economic Accounts for Agriculture (REGEAA) and exports:

- The REGEAA data show that the agricultural output in the Autonomous Region of Madeira stood at 102.8 million euros in 2018, increasing by 3.9% in nominal terms. 83.8% of the total agricultural output came from crop output and 11.9% from animal output.

- The Autonomous Region of Madeira dispatched 18.3 thousand tonnes of banana in 2019, 14.2 tons of anona and 4.4 tons of avocado. 3 thousand protea flowers and 2 thousand cymbidium stems were also exported in the year of reference.

Agricultural prices:

- In 2019, the agricultural products producer price index rose by 5.1% over 2018. This increase was driven by the growth in the price index of  other crop products (+7.6%), fruits (+6.6%) and vegetables and horticultural products (+6.1%). The price index of agricultural production means went up by 2.1% from 2018, an increase which can be partly explained by a rise in the price index of seeds and plants (+33.7%) and animal feed (+4.5%).
