In the second quarter of 2021
Cement sales increased compared to the previous quarter and year-on-year
According to the data collected by the Regional Directorate of Statistics of Madeira (DREM), in the second quarter of 2021, the cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira stood at 39.9 thousand tonnes, reflecting an increase of 15.2% over the previous quarter (34.6 thousand tonnes).
Compared to the same quarter of the previous year (27.3 thousand tonnes), there was also a growth of 46.2%. Noteworthy that the quantity of cement sold in the 2nd quarter of 2021 is the highest since the 4th quarter of 2014.
Regarding the value of cement sold in the Autonomous Region of Madeira in the reference quarter, it stood at 4.4 millions euros, increasing by 15.2% from the previous quarter and by 47.3% year-on-year.
