In the 3rd quarter of 2023
Volume of cement sold in the Autonomous Region of Madeira (ARM) increased compared to the previous quarter and the same period in the previous year
According to data collected by the Regional Directorate of Statistics of Madeira (DREM), in the 3rd quarter of 2023, cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira (ARM) reached 42.4 thousand tonnes, reflecting a 7.3% increase compared to the previous quarter (39.5 thousand tonnes). Similarly, compared to the same quarter of the previous year (40.8 thousand tonnes), there was also an increase of 4.0%.
In the same quarter, the value of cement sold in the ARM amounted to 5.3 million euros, showing a quarterly and year-on-year increase of 10.3% and 16.2%, respectively.
In cumulative terms (the first nine months of 2023), the quantity of cement sold decreased by 1.5% compared to the same period in the previous year, while the value of cement sold increased by 8.4%.
