Cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira reached the highest value of the last twelve years
According to data collected by the Regional Directorate of Statistics of Madeira (DREM), in 2023, cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira have reached 161.3 thousand tonnes – the highest value of the last twelve years – increasing by 2.7% over the previous year (157.1 thousand tonnes).
Regarding the value of cement sold in the Autonomous Region of Madeira in the reference year, it stood at 20.1 million euros, growing by 13.9% over the previous year.
In the 4th quarter of 2023, the volume of cement sales showed a 19.5% year-on-year increase whereas the sales value rose by 36.0%.
