In the first quarter of 2025
Quantity of cement sold in the Autonomous Region of Madeira decreased compared to the same quarter of the previous year, but the sales value increased
According to the data collected by the Regional Directorate of Statistics of Madeira (DREM), in the 1st quarter of 2025, the cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira stood at 39.3 thousand tonnes, representing a decrease of 11.2% over the previous quarter (44.2 thousand tonnes). Compared to the same quarter of the prior year (40.8 thousand tonnes), there was also decline of 3.6%.
Despite the reduction in volume sold, the value of cement sales reached 5.8 million euros, representing a quarterly decrease of 5.4%, but a year-on-year increase of 3.4%.
