Median price of dwelling sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira stood at 1 197 euros per square meter
In the 1st quarter 2019 (last 12 months), the median price of dwelling sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira was 1 197 euros per square meter. Compared to the previous quarter, the price dropped by 0.8%, while in year-on-year terms the change rate growth was 4.7%. By the same order, the rates of change for the country were 1.5% and 6.4%, respectively. The value for new dwellings (1 340 euros per square meter) was higher than the value for existing dwellings (1 159 euros per square meter).
In the last two years, i.e. comparing the 1st quarter 2019 with the same quarter of 2017, there was a 15.9% growth, above the country’s average (14.8%).
In the reference quarter, the median value of dwelling sales in Portugal stood at 1 011 euros per square meter, the highest value of the series, reaching 1 132 euros per square meter for the new dwellings and 991 euros per square meter for the existing dwelling.
