Passenger transport by cable car decreased by 0.9%

In 2018, there were 896,448 tickets sold on cableways in the Region, reflecting a decrease of 0.9% over the previous year. That quantity of tickets sold corresponded to a total revenue of about 10.2 million euros, -0.7% that in 2017.

In terms of the tickets sold, 92.2% were for adults, 4.5% for children and the remaining 3.3% for other types of users (eg. farmers, residents, students, etc ...).

It should be noted that the highest number of tickets sold during the year 2018 occurred in the third quarter (257,414), especially in August, while the lowest occurred in the first quarter (200,468).

Regarding the fourth quarter, there were 204,390 tickets sold on cableways in the Region (-4.8% compared to the same period last year). Total revenue was about 2.4 million euros, a decrease of 5.8% over the same period of the previous year.
