In the 1st quarter of 2025
Weighted annual average daily traffic on Via Rápida increased by 6.0% when compared to the previous year
According to information provided by the Regional Directorate of Roads (DRE), in the 1st quarter of 2025, the road traffic count increased by 4.7% on Via Rápida and by 5.2% on Vias Expresso, year-on-year. On the roads under concession, the light vehicle traffic increased in both segments (+4.7% on the Via Rápida; +5.1% on the Vias Expresso). There were also year-on-year increases in heavy vehicle traffic, in Via Rápida (+5,8%) and Vias Expresso (+8,0%).
In the first quarter of 2025, the daily average traffic registered amounted to approximately 37.3 thousand vehicles on the Via Rápida and 7.0 thousand vehicles on the Vias Expresso, representing an increase of +6.0% and 6.9%, respectively. As with the traffic count, the overall change was mainly driven by the growth in light vehicle traffic (+6.0% on the Via Rápida; +6.8% on the Vias Expresso), as the low share of heavy vehicle traffic (2.2% and 2.1% of the total, respectively), had minimal impact on the overall indicator. Nevertheless, heavy vehicle traffic also increased: +6.8% on the Via Rápida and +11.5% on the Vias Expresso.

Note: The weighted annual average daily traffic corresponds to the number of vehicles, that, on average, travel the full length of each road daily.
