[NOTE: With regard to the monthly release for the 2026 reference year, DREM maintains the same model as in the previous year, releasing an aggregate covering hotels, rural tourism accommodation and all local accommodation, regardless of the number of beds. Statistics Portugal (INE), in turn, excludes local accommodation establishments with fewer than 10 beds from its release. Therefore, in this news item, in the Em Foco publication and in the tables published by DREM, the overall total for guests and overnight stays is higher than that published by INE. For occupancy rates, rooms and revenue, the figures coincide with those published by INE, since their calculation excludes local accommodation establishments with fewer than 10 beds.]
