In 2025
Weighted annual average daily traffic on the Via Rápida increased by 5.2% compared with the previous year
According to information provided by the Regional Directorate for Roads (Direção Regional de Estradas – DRE), in 2025, road traffic count increased by 4.8% on Via Rápida and by 6.7% on Via Expresso compared with 2024. Light vehicle traffic recorded growth on both roads under concession (+4.8% on Via Rápida; +6.6% on Via Expresso), with a similar trend observed for heavy vehicles (+4.0% on Via Rápida; +11.8% on Via Expresso).
Narrowing the analysis to the 4th quarter of 2025, year-on-year changes in road traffic counts stood at +3.3% on Via Rápida and +7.2% on Via Expresso.
In 2025, an average of 39.6 thousand vehicles per day was recorded on Via Rápida and 7.9 thousand on Via Expresso, corresponding to year-on-year increases of 5.2% and 7.4%, respectively. As observed in the traffic counts, the overall change was mainly driven by the evolution of light vehicle traffic (+5.2% on Via Rápida; +7.3% on Via Expresso), since the limited share of heavy vehicles (2.2% and 2.1% of total traffic, respectively) had little impact on the overall indicator (+4.5% on Via Rápida; +13.6% on Via Expresso).
It should be noted that, in the 4th quarter of 2025, the weighted annual average daily traffic increased by 3.2% on Via Rápida and by 7.2% on Via Expresso.

Note: The weighted annual average daily traffic corresponds to the number of vehicles that, on average, travel the full length of each road per day.
