Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in Madeira was 2.4%
In October 2018, the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was 2.4%, 0.1 percentage points (p.p.) higher than in the previous month.
The highest positive changes were observed in "Transportation" (6.9%) and "Restaurants and hotels" (5.4%). The classes of "Accessories, household equipment and current housing maintenance" and "Clothing and footwear" were the only ones to register negative rates of change, -1.5% and -1.4%, respectively.
In Portugal, the value of the 12-month average rate was 1.1%, down by 0.1 p.p. from the previous month.
In October 2018, the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region increased by 0.2% over the previous month.
