Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in Madeira was 2.4%
In November 2018, the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was 2.4%, the same as in the previous month.
The upward pressure on the annual average rate of change occurred in the classes of “Transportations" (+7.2%) and " Restaurants and hotels" (+5.4%). On the opposite side, “Accessories, Household Equipment and Current Household Maintenance” and "Clothing and footwear" were the only classes in which the rate of change was negative (-1.4% in both cases).
In Portugal, the value of that rate was 1.1%, the same as in the previous month.
In November 2018, the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region increased by 0.2% over the previous month.
