Number of building permits and completed buildings in the Autonomous Region of Madeira increased compared to the same period of 2018

Between January and September of 2019, 283 buildings were licensed, up by 13.7% when compared with the same period of 2018. The number of completed buildings rose by 42.6% to a total of 241.

60.4% of the licenses of construction and demolition works were for new constructions (171), 87.1% of which were destined for family housing (149). From these constructions resulted the licensing of 247 dwellings, up by 43.6% from some period of 2018.

In the reference period, the number of completed buildings went up by 42.6% to a total of 241. 53.9% of the completed buildings were new constructions for family housing (130). The number of completed dwellings in new constructions for family housing stood at 191, increasing by 34.5% over the same half of 2018 (142).
