In 2022
Cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira reached the highest value of the last eleven years
According to data collected by the Regional Directorate of Statistics of Madeira (DREM), in 2022, cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira have reached 157.1 thousand tonnes – the highest value of the last eleven years – increasing by 1.5% over the previous year (154.8 thousand tonnes).
Regarding the value of cement sold in the Autonomous Region of Madeira in the reference year, it stood at 17.6 million euros, growing by 0.9% over the previous year.
In the 4th quarter of 2022, the volume of cement sales showed a 15.4% year-on-year decrease whereas the sales value declined by 19.8%.
