In the 1st quarter 2019
Trade balance of the Autonomous Region of Madeira with foreign countries was positive, standing at 46.4 million euros
According to preliminary data, the Region’s trade balance of goods with foreign countries stood at 46.4 million Euros in the 1st quarter of 2019, representing a coverage rate of imports by exports of 253.2%. In the same period of last year, the balance between exports and imports was 5.6 million Euros and the coverage rate reached 83.2%.
In the first three months of 2019, exports totaled 76.7 million Euros, 64.1% destined for Countries inside the EU), while imports reached 30.3 million Euros, 80.3% of which coming from the EU.

Final data for 2017 and revised data for 2018 is also released today.
