Deficit of the trade balance stood at 10.6 million Euros

According to the preliminary data of the first half of 2014, the trade balance of goods with foreign countries stood at -10.6 million Euros, representing a coverage rate of imports by exports of 83.9%. In the same period of last year, the balance was more favorable (-3.0 million Euros).

In the first six months of 2014, exports totalled 54.9 million Euros (40.5 million Euros in the corresponding period of last year), 74.7% of which destined for Third Countries (i.e. outside the EU), while imports reached 65.5 million Euros (43.6 million Euros in the first six months of 2013), 75.4% of which coming from the EU.
