The Regional Directorate of Statistics of Madeira (DREM) releases today on its official statistics website data on public employment in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. These data comes from the Directorate-General for Administration and Public Employment, more precisely from SIEP (Synthesis of Public Employment Statistics).
In the 1st quarter 2016
Public Employment in the Regional Administration of Madeira continued to drop
The provisional data show that at 31/03/2016 there were 19,599 persons working in the Regional Administration of Madeira. Compared with the previous quarter this represents a decline of 6 persons. If compared with the same day of 2015, public employment dropped by 378 persons (-1.9%). At 31/12/2011 the number of persons working in the Regional Administration of Madeira stood at 21,354. This figure has been declining steadily quarter after quarter with the exception of the 4th quarter of 2014.
