In the first quarter 2017
Number and value of transacted dwellings in the Autonomous Region of Madeira increased compared to the previous quarter
During the first quarter of 2017, 693 dwellings were traded in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, up by 13.8% over the previous quarter, and also up by 25.3% compared to the 1st quarter 2016. From that total, 530 were existing dwellings and the remaining 163 new dwellings.
The value of transacted dwellings in the reference quarter was approximately 85.1 million euros, representing a 26.5% increase over the previous quarter and a 3.0% compared to the same quarter of the prior year. The sales value for the new dwellings stood at 24.9 million euros and for existing dwellings at 60.2 million euros.
In Portugal, the number of transacted dwellings in first quarter 2017 reached 35.2 thousand (a 2.4% increase compared to the last quarter), generating a sales value of 4.3 billion euros.
