In the first quarter 2018
Number and sales value of transacted dwellings in the Autonomous Region of Madeira decreased in number but increased in value
In the first quarter 2018, 716 dwellings were traded in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, down by 1.8% over the previous quarter, and up by 3.3% compared to the 1st quarter 2017
From that total, 579 were existing dwellings and the remaining 137 new dwellings.
The value of transacted dwellings in the reference quarter was approximately 92.1 million euros, representing a 0.3% increase over the previous quarter and a 8.2% rise compared to the same quarter of the prior year. The sales value for the new dwellings stood at 22.7 million euros and for existing dwellings at 69.4 million euros.
In Portugal, the number of transacted dwellings in first quarter 2018 reached 40.7 thousand (a 4.1% decrease compared to the last quarter), generating a sales value of 5.4 billion euros (-2.8%).
