Median price of dwelling sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira stood at 1 205 euros per square meter
In the 2nd quarter 2019 (last 12 months), the median price of dwelling sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira was 1 205 euros per square meter. Compared to the previous quarter, the price went up by 0.7%, while in year-on-year terms it increased by 4.0%. By the same order, the rates of change for the country were 2.0% and 6.4%, respectively. The value for new dwellings (1 333 euros per square meter) was higher than the value for existing dwellings (1 170 euros per square meter).
In the last two years, i.e. comparing the 2nd quarter 2019 with the same quarter of 2017, there was a 13.4% growth, below the country’s average (15.1%).
In the reference quarter, the median value of dwelling sales in Portugal stood at 1 031 euros per square meter, the highest value of the series, reaching 1 153 euros per square meter for the new dwellings and 1 010 euros per square meter for the existing dwellings.
