Portrait of Municipalities of the Autonomous Region of Madeira 2011
The Regional Directorate of Statistics of Madeira (DREM), as the regional statistical authority and in compliance with its mission to produce and disseminate quality official statistical information, which responds independently and effectively to the information needs of the society, could not fail to join the celebration of the International Year of Statistics 2013.
In this sense, today it releases this booklet "Portrait of Municipalities of the Autonomous Region of Madeira", which consists of the characterization of population, families and housing stock of the 11 municipalities of the Region related with the whole of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, based on the definitive results of the 2011 Census. A more appealing format of dissemination was adopted, where the indicators are expressed not in figures but in graphics and cartograms, in order to make it clearer and easier to be understood by the different target audiences.
