DREM creates an account on the Tableau Public website

On the occasion of the European Statistics Day, the Regional Directorate of Statistics of Madeira (DREM) makes available on its website a link to the internet site “Tableau Public”.

DREM created a profile with 22 data visualisations (graphs) that portray the Region’s socioeconomic status.

Tableau public is a free service that allows the publication of interactive data visualisations to the web. They can be into webpages and blogs, and be shared via social media or email. Journalists, writers, bloggers, students, professors and other people interested in statistics are the main users of the website.

The data visualisations were created for the following areas:

2. Cement sales
3. Building permits
4. Dweling sales
5. Fuels released for consumption
6. International trade of goods
7. Births, deaths and natural change
8. Gross Public Debt
9. Overnight stays in hotel establishments
10. Public Employment
11. Formation and dissolution of enterprises
12. Employment market
13. Consumer Prices Index
14. Movement of goods in seaports
15. Mutibanco network operations
16. Landed catch
17. Overdue loan ratios
18. Unemployment rate
19. Air transport – passenger movement
20. Wine commercialisation
21. Regional Index of Economic Activity
22. Resident population
