In 2019
Cement sales reached 5-year high
According to the data collected by the Regional Directorate of Statistics of Madeira (DREM), in 2019, the cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira stood at 129.9 thousand tonnes, increasing by 14.1% from last year. The 2019 figure is the highest since 2015, but it corresponds to only 16.8% of the cement sales in 2004, the all-time record year.
The value of cement sold (first sale) in the Autonomous Region of Madeira in 2019 the stood at 15.1 millions of euros.
