In the third quarter of 2020
Cement sales increased from the previous quarter and decreased year-on-year
According to the data collected by the Regional Directorate of Statistics of Madeira (DREM), in the third quarter of 2020, the cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira stood at 33.3 thousand tonnes, corresponding to a quarterly increase of 22.1% and to a year-on-year decline of 8.5%.
Regarding the value of cement sold in the Autonomous Region of Madeira in the reference quarter, it stood at 3.6 millions of euros, increasing 22.0% from the previous quarter and dropping by 13.0% year-on-year.
In the first nine months of this 2020, there was a year-on-year drop of 7.7% in the quantity sold and a 13.9% decrease in value.
