In the January to September 2016 period

Landed catch and livestock slaughter registered a year-on-year growth in volume while aviculture showed a decrease

In the first nine months of 2016, the egg production stood at 17.0 million units, decreasing by 1.2% year-on-year while the poultry meat totaled 2,911.4 tonnes, dropping by 2.6% compared to the same period of 2015.

Between January and September 2016, the volume of slaughtered livestock increased by 10.2% year-on-year, to a total of 707.2 tonnes.

Compared to the same period last year, the data on landed catch volume show a increase in the first nine months of 2016 by 2.0%, and a decrease in first sale receipts by 1.7%.

Black-scabbard fish has been less abundant during the first nine months of 2016 (down by 3.9% in volume and  by 2.0% in the first sale receipts). The catch of tuna and tuna-like species also dropped in volume by 3.2%, but the first sale receipts grew by 2.2%.
