In the first quarter of 2024
Cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira increased compared to the previous quarter but decreased year-on-year
According to the data collected by the Regional Directorate of Statistics of Madeira (DREM), in the 1st quarter of 2024, the cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira stood at 40.8 thousand tonnes, representing a 9.1% increase over the previous quarter (37.3 thousand tonnes).
Compared to the same quarter of the prior year (42.1 thousand tonnes), there was a decline of 3.1%.
In turn, the value of cement sold in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, in the quarter under review, amounted to 5.7 million euros, representing a quarterly and also year-on-year increase of 17.9% and 10.8%, respectively.
