Second notification - September 2020
Excessive Deficit Procedure
According to EU regulations, Statistics Portugal is sending to Eurostat, until the end of the current month, the second notification of 2020 of the Excessive Deficit Procedure (EDP).
The estimate of Net lending of the Regional Government of Madeira for 2019 stood at 38.3 million euro and the amount of the Regional Gross Debt at 4,662.8 million euro.
In the country, the net lending of the of the General Government (GG) in that same year amounted to 177.0 million euros, corresponding to 0.1% of the Portuguese GDP, while the gross debt of the GG stood at 250.0 billion euros, representing 117.2% of the GDP.
