No ano de 2013 o número de médicos inscritos na ordem aumenta 4,1%
Na Região Autónoma da Madeira (RAM), em 31 de dezembro de 2013, o número de médicos inscritos na Ordem dos Médicos aumentou 4,1% face ao ano anterior, passando de 747 para 778 médicos. Do total dos médicos inscritos na Ordem, 35,1% (273 médicos) não são especialistas.
Atendendo às estimativas provisórias anuais da população residente, incorporando os resultados definitivos dos Censos 2011, o número de médicos por cada 1 000 habitantes continua a aumentar, passando de 2,8, em 2012, para 3,0 médicos por cada 1000 habitantes, em 2013.
