Average value of bank evaluation on housing in Madeira maintained a growing trend
The average value of housing bank appraisals in the Autonomous Region of Madeira reached €1 236/sq meter in December 2015, increasing by €26 from November 2015 (+2.1%) and by €77 from the same period of the year before (+6.6%). For Portugal, that same variable stood at €1 050/sq meter in the month of reference, 0.7% above the previous month. The year-on-year change rate was +4.5%.
For the flats located in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, the value of bank appraisals in the month of reference was €1 267/sq meter. In the case of row houses the value was lower (€1 201/sq meter).
Annual values show growth
With the year 2015 now complete, the figures show that the average annual value of the bank evaluation on housing in Madeira stood at 1 182 euros/m2, up by 2.2% from 2014. The increase in the evaluation of row houses (+2.5%) was larger than in the case of apartments (+1.8%). The average value for the apartments stood at 1 208 euros/m2 and at 1 150 euros/m2 for row houses.
The increase in the average annual value of the bank evaluation on housing breaks 4 consecutive years of decline in this variable.
