In the 1st quarter 2015
Landed catch, livestock slaughterings and poultry meat registered year-on-year increases while egg production dropped
In the first three months of 2015 the egg production stood at 5.5 million units, decreasing by 14.8% year-on-year.
In the same period, poultry meat totaled 922.2 tonnes, increasing by 15.6% compared to the same period of 2014.
Between January and March 2015, the weight of the slaughtered livestock rose by 1.4% year-on-year.
The data on landed catch show a growth in the first three months of 2015 (+16.3% in volume and +12.1% in first sale receipts), compared to the same period of last year.
This growth was mainly driven by the increase in the catch of black-scabbard fish (+20.3% in volume and +20.7% in first sale receipts). The catch of chub mackerel also rose sharply (+69,7%). However the year-on-year growth in the first sale receipts of this species was less expressive (+4,7%).
