In the second quarter of 2019
Cement sales increased
According to the data collected by the Regional Directorate of Statistics of Madeira (DREM), in the second quarter of 2019, the cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira stood at 32.1 thousand tonnes, corresponding to a quarterly increase of 4.5% and to a year-on-year growth of 2.3%.
Considering the first half of the year, the cement sales topped 62.9 thousand tonnes, a 5.9% when compared to the same semester of the 2018.
The value of cement sold in the Autonomous Region of Madeira in the reference quarter stood at 3.8 millions of euros, up by 4.4% over the previous quarter (3.7 millions of euros) .
