Cement sales increased
According to the data collected by the Regional Directorate of Statistics of Madeira (DREM), in the second quarter of 2019, the cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira stood at 36.4 thousand tonnes, corresponding to a quarterly increase of 13.3% and to a year-on-year growth of 21.7%. The value of this quarter is the highest since the 4th quarter 2014.
Considering the first three quarters of the year, the cement sales topped 99.3 thousand tonnes, a 11.2% growth when compared to the same period of the 2018.
The value of cement sold in the Autonomous Region of Madeira in the reference quarter stood at 4.2 millions of euros, up by 9.7% over the previous quarter (3.8 millions of euros) .
