In 2016
Purchase and sale contracts of real estate decreased in the Autonomous Region of Madeira
DREM releases today on its website the time series on real estate operations updated with information for 2016. It should be highlighted that the series was extended with data now ranging from 1971-2016.
In 2016, the number of contracts of real estate purchase and sale decreased by 5.7% compared to the previous year, but the average value of the traded real estates increased from 67.1 thousand Euros in 2015 to 95.4 thousand Euros in 2016 (42.1%).
The number of contracts of loan agreements with conventional mortgage rose by 7.3% in 2016. However, the mean value of mortgaged real estates dropped from 196.1 thousand Euros in 2015 to 133.9 thousand Euros in 2016.
In 2016, the mortgage credit granted to singular persons per inhabitant stood at 263 Euros, a 16.7% increase over the previous year.
