DREM releases, for the first time, a time series on average monthly earnings per employee
The Regional Directorate of Statistics of Madeira (DREM) releases, for the first time, indicators on average monthly earnings per employee of enterprises with tax residence in the Autonomous Region of Madeira (ARM). This information results from the statistical use of the data from the "Monthly Statement of Earnings(DMR/SS)" sent by enterprises to Social Security and from the "Contributive Relation" of the subscribers of Caixa Geral de Aposentações (Civil Servants Pension Fund).
The information for Madeira was made available by Statistics Portugal (INE) following a request from DREM and will be released every quarter.
The results refer to moving quarters ending in the reference month. Monthly (since March 2014) and annual (since 2014) indicators of gross monthly earnings per employee are provided, broken down by earnings component (total, regular and base), economic activity, enterprise size (measured by the number of employees), institutional sector, market and tradable nature of the goods and services produced and use of technology and knowledge intensity.
