Landed catch and the livestock slaughterings decreased while egg production and poultry meat increased compared with the previous year
In 2015, egg production stood at 23.8 million units, increasing by 6.1% year-on-year. A similar trend was noted in the production of poultry meat which totaled 3,991.2 tonnes in 2015, up by 6.2% compared to 2014.

The data on landed catch show a decrease in 2015 (-24.9% in volume and -6.3% in first sale receipts), compared to 2014.
This decrease was mainly driven by the decline in the catch of tuna and tuna-like species (-43.7% in volume and -24.7% in value). Black-scabbard fish was also less abundant during 2015 (-0.6% in volume) but its first sale receipts grew by 15.1%.
