Median price of dwelling sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira stood at 1 186 euros per square meter
In the 3rd quarter 2019 (last 12 months), the median price of dwelling sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira was 1 186 euros per square meter. Compared to the previous quarter, the price went down by 1.6%, while in year-on-year terms it decreased by 1.4%. By the same order, the rates of change for the country were +2.2% and +7.1%, respectively. The value for new dwellings (1 331 euros per square meter) was higher than the value for existing dwellings (1 151 euros per square meter).
In the last two years, i.e. comparing the 3rd quarter 2019 with the same quarter of 2017, there was a 8.4% growth, below the country’s average (15.6%).
In the reference quarter, the median value of dwelling sales in Portugal stood at 1 054 euros per square meter, the highest value of the series, reaching 1 171 euros per square meter for the new dwellings and 1 036 euros per square meter for the existing dwellings.
